Thank you very much for you continued patronage of Konica Minolta products.
There has been no release of security updates for MacOS X 10.6 since September 13, 2013. Hence, Konica Minolta will lower the support level for MacOS X 10.6 from Level 1 to Level 2 in accordance with our Guidelines for OS Support (Printer Driver) Version 2.0 where support will end in two years’ time from the last security update released.
Customers are advised to replace their products with higher OS version as soon as possible (MacOS 10.9 or above is recommended as there is no security update being released for 10.8 till date).
Please find the details of the change as follows:
1. Applicable products and OS
a) Applicable KMI products - Drivers and application software embedded in below KMI products:
Office multi-functional peripherals (MFPs)
- Production Print systems
b) Applicable OS - MacOS X 10.6: Standard Support (Level 1)*1 ends on March 31, 2016.
2) Schedule for other MacOS - The support level will be revised for the following OS (i.e. shift to Level 2*2) in the periods as shown below.
- MacOS X 10.7: Standard Support (Level 1)*1 will end on March 31, 2017
- MacOSX10.8: Standard Support (Level 1)*1 will end on March 31, 2018
*1 : Standard support level, where support is open to public, dealing with bug fixing on priority basis.
*2 : Special support level, each enquiry is dealt on individual basis, only with serious bugs with internal causes.
