Kuala Lumpur 3rd December 09. Upbeat and up-tempo, the launch of Konica Minolta’s Digital Doctor CS Remote Care was a visual extravaganza that had the crowd entertained and anticipating what was in store. Held at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) on 3 December, the event started off with dancers in nurse costumes complete with the Digital Doctor Logo. They performed to a futuristic dance number before a ‘doctor’ appeared to cue the opening gambit and unveil the product on a huge backdrop in ‘Minority Report’ style. Right after the unveiling of the Digital Doctor, David Tan the ‘Doctor’ proceeded to demonstrate how the service works between himself and a customer in another office via a live telecast on screen. This 5-minute candid dialogue effectively highlighted the ease of use and benefits of the Digital Doctor, initiated by an alert message through email within the Digital Doctor system.

Sporting the tagline of “We Know When Your Printer Needs Attention Before You Do” Konica Minolta Business Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd Managing Director, Mr. Yoshihisa Ishibashi delivered a message of confidence regarding how the Digital Doctor proactive remote diagnostic system is able to assist bizhub printer users in maintaining their machines without any direct involvement.

David Tan, Business Solutions Division Manager, then provided further explanation of the Digital Doctor’s special features that makes it the most advanced and reliable remote printer care system. As the monitoring is done remotely, this complimentary value-added service will detect and alert the company’s technical support team of any potential problem that may arise from toner levels to machine parts. The support team will then swing into action by prescribing the correct remedy promptly and deliver the printer consumables right to the client’s doorsteps. Printer meter readings are also done automatically by the Digital Doctor CS Remote Care.


In short, having the Digital Doctor installed in the bizhub printer ensures the machine is running at its optimum level with minimum downtime, allowing the user to concentrate on more important office tasks rather than worry about the printer’s maintenance. That is the real benefit of having the Digital Doctor Service: Saving you time from looking after your bizhub printer. Although the main purpose of the event was to introduce the Digital Doctor Service, it was not all business as 10 lucky guests walked away with an iPod each during the lucky draw before everyone had a sumptuous lunch to cap the perfect end to a productive day in the launching of Konica Minolta’s Digital Doctor Service.
